WHO ARE WE?
Hi there! I'm Marissa, the heart and soul behind Connected Travel. My journey in this amazing world of travel began back in 2005.
Guided by my free-spirited nature and a passion for doing things my way, I launched my own home-based travel business in 2010, building my career with my own unique direction. In 2017, with Lynn, my best friend and backbone, by my side, I proudly established Connected Travel. In 2019 we burst into the training realm with our Connected Travel Training Academy.
Juggling the roles of a professional in the travel world and a mum to two beautiful girls, I've seen my dreams take flight. My qualifications include a Diploma in Travel & Tourism, Diploma in Leadership and Management, and I'm a certified trainer with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. These credentials, among others, and my extensive industry experience in both the tourism industry and business reflect my comprehensive background and dedication to excellence in the field.
One of the highlights of my journey so far? Being among the top five finalists in the National Travel Industry Awards for our outstanding recruitment and employment program, competing alongside major players in the industry.
